On December 6, the Chicago Connectory hosted the University of Notre Dame’s Student International Business Council (SIBC). Each year Bob Wildeman, University Partnerships Lead at the Chicago Connectory, invites SIBC students to present their research on a case study relevant to Bosch and other stakeholders.
This year, students presented to Bosch, Knauf Digital and City Tech Collaborative on the topic of connected construction and its influence over the general contractor and supply chain of a construction site. Their presentation began with an overview of current industry trends in construction and the opportunities with connected construction. The Notre Dame students then specifically looked at connected construction opportunities with general contractors and the supply chain and logistics of a construction site.
After reviewing the opportunities for each, the students provided a recommendation on the opportunities they believe companies like Bosch, Knauf Digital and City Tech Collaborative could capitalize on in the connected construction space.
Thank you to the University of Notre Dame and the Student International Business Council! We look forward to hosting you again at the Chicago Connectory!
