An Open Framework for Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) Best Practices
The Internet of Things is a network of interconnected devices with embedded sensors, electronics, and software enabling them to collect, analyze, and report on the data they sense about themselves and their environments. Artificial Intelligence allows the devices to act on that data, making the machines intelligent and giving them the ability to work autonomously without human intervention. This combination of IoT and AI has given rise to the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT). This powerful blend allows for smart and connected products and solutions that can utilize asset, swarm, and environmental Intelligence to improve output and productivity across every industry.
Building a product or service enabled by AIoT can be challenging due to the diverse perspectives on product design, architecture, component sourcing, engineering, deployment, organizational design, and business models, not least of all the threat of yet another project stuck in “Pilot Purgatory.” The open-source AIoT Framework helps address these challenges by providing best practices, project templates, and case studies to build smart, connected products and solutions with AIoT. The framework integrates physical products with intelligence in the field (Edge AI), cloud connectivity (IoT), creating Digital Twins (DT), and creating Swarm Intelligence with AI in the Cloud.
In partnership with Bosch’s Chicago Connectory and the AIoT User Group, we are honored to host Dirk Slama, VP Co-Innovation and Chief Alliance Officer, Bosch. Dirk will be sharing an overview of the AIoT Framework and how to get involved. He will also be sharing more details about the AIoT User Group, a non-profit organization responsible for the open-source AIoT Framework.
Dirk Slama is the VP Co-Innovation and Chief Alliance Officer at Bosch SI, where he helps with shaping and executing the IoT strategy of Bosch, the global engineering and services group. Dirk has over 20 years of experience in the industry. He is the author of 4 successful books and holds an MBA and a Diploma in Computer Science.
About AIoT User Group
The AIoT User Group brings together AI and IoT practitioners to share experiences, provide guidance and develop a good practices framework for the execution and delivery of AIoT-enabled products and solutions. We work both regionally and globally. Our Ignite Talks and Meetups provide frequent exchange between participants. AIoT Boot Camps provide deep dives. Case Studies and the Ignite AIoT Framework provide well documented good practices.
